Here is a Marketing Tip for Local Businesses

Do you sell products or services to local residents in your geographical area?

If so, I have a really great tip that very few people know about. You can be listed in Google’s Local listing for FRE.E.  All you have to do is create a listing for your business and validate your contact information. You can target about 6 categories and phrases people search on. If your business name matches the San Diego search terms you can jump right to the top and will be shown on the Google Map.

Category Example:

Search Google for ”New Age Church, San Diego” . My business listing comes up #3 at top of page, above all the regular Google results

Business Name Example:

Search Google for ”San Diego Firewalk” . My business listing comes up #1 and above all the regular google results

Add a Business Listing:

http://www.google.com/local/add

From my experience it takes about 2-4 weeks to validate the listing and then to make it into the Google search engine.
